| The Kappa Chapter, TEXAS GOURD SOCIETY,
is a part of the national organization, the AMERICAN GOURD SOCIETY. |

TGS annual Membership dues are $12.00,
payable January 1 each year. Dues for new members only
joining in mid-year are
pro-rated: Jan $12, Feb $11, Mar $10, etc. It is suggested that
payments
made in September through December include the next year's dues.
Example: joining in October, pay $15 ($3 plus $12 for the following
year).

 Benefits include a quarterly newsletter: THE TEXAS GOURDZETTE (TGS), sources for seeds and gourds, educational materials, show information, seminars, workshops, horticulture, demonstrations, meetings, gourd tools, ideas for embellishing and more. Texas is divided into regions called "TGS Gourd Patches" which meet in designated locations throughout the state and unite gourd enthusiasts with common interests. |
| Two state meetings are held yearly (spring and
fall) in conjunction with the Annual TGS Lone Star Gourd Festival. The
2009 Lone Star Gourd Festival will be October 16-18, 2009, with vendor
move-in Thursday afternoon October 15, 2009 and/or Friday morning, the
16th, at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds on Highway 16 South in
Fredericksburg, Texas. |
